  Alexis Wildman

Ceramicist - Based in Sydney, Australia

Alexis Wildman is an emerging ceramicist and sculptor who currently lives and works out of Sydney, Australia. Having divided her life between Australia and the USA, she graduated from the University of NSW Art & Design in Sydney specializing in Ceramics and Sculpture. Captivated by the unusual tension that arises between unlikely objects in juxtaposing environments, Alexis refers to her pieces as untold stories. This is evident in her experimentation with the notions of symbiotic relationships and autotelic devices. In her major exhibitions such as Push, Pull, Reach (‘All of the Above’ exhibition, Farr Side Gallery, 2018), The Crater (Finalist Piece, Gosford Ceramic Prize, 2018) and The Other Side (Eden Unearthed 2017- ‘18), Wildman’s exploration of the self-changing human condition resonates the importance of personal relationships and binding surroundings.
